COUNTRY AT THE CREEK CHASE THE ACE: OFFICIAL RULES (“RAFFLE”)
OFFICIAL RULES: By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the COUNTRY AT THE CREEK MUSIC FEST, which shall be binding and final as to all matters related to the RAFFLE. The RAFFLE is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and local laws.
NET PROCEEDS: All net proceeds of the Raffle will benefit COUNTRY AT THE CREEK MUSIC FEST, (hereafter known as “CCMF”) and the programs and charitable donations that CCMF supports.

CHASE THE ACE GAME:
PURCHASING RAFFLE ENTRIES
PRICE: The following prices and corresponding “ticket numbers” are available for purchase: 5 tickets for $10.00, 25 tickets for $25.00 and 100 tickets for $50.00.
TICKET AVAILABILITY: Ticket sales will be made available on the COUNTRY AT THE CREEK website every week and at Third and Main 300 Main Street, Big River Sask. SOJOEO starting Tuesday April 30th, 2024 with the first draw being Tuesday May14th 2024.Cut-off for ticket purchases will be at 6:00pm every Tuesday the raffle is active with and the draw being at 6:30pm. Sales will resume approximately 30 minutes after each draw for the following week for a maximum of 51 additional weeks.
ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER: During the dates and times and other details specified below, tickets are available for purchase OVER THE INTERNET by anyone 19 years or older REGARDLESS OF THEIR RESIDENCE if physically located in SASKATCHEWAN. Country at the Creek Music Fest Inc. members , volunteers and immediate family ARE allowed to purchase tickets, but are not permitted to participate as the proxy in that week’s draw.
The following persons are prohibited from purchasing tickets in the CCMF Raffle:
- Employees, Directors or Executives of Tap 50:50 Event Consultants Ltd.; and
- Any individual in charge of card/envelope security
- Volunteers who are assisting with the draw that evening or sold tickets that week
GENERALITIES OF THE GAME
DRAW SELECTION: A single ticket number will be selected each week by a gaming lab certified Random Number Generator (RNG) from all raffle ticket numbers sold during the week leading up to the draw. The draw will be electronically conducted from Thelma and Louise’s Lounge at 300 Main Street, Big River. Sask. S0J0E0 at 6:30 pm., and streamed live on Facebook Purchasers do not need to be present to win and social distancing practices are encouraged.
WEEKLY WINNER: Each weekly draw winner will receive a single cash prize equal to 20 percent of all ticket sales collected during the week. The winner will be contacted by phone and asked to cut the remaining deck of cards. The chosen card will be revealed. If after 3 attempts over 15 minutes, the winner hasn’t been contacted, A DESIGNATED PROXY WILL CHOOSE A CARD FOR THE WEEKLY WINNER. THE DESIGNATED PROXY WILL BE EITHER Patty Stonehouse or Anna Grassick.
At the end of each week’s “cut the deck” segment the rest of the deck will be displayed to show that the Ace of Spades is still in the deck. The remaining cards from the standard deck, shall be sealed in an envelope by Country at the Creek members in charge of the draw. The cards shall be kept in a safe place.
If the envelope associated with the winning weekly draw ticket reveals any playing card other than the Ace of Spades, the game continues. All tickets from the previous week are then voided and ticket sales commence for the next weekly draw.
PROGRESSIVE JACKPOT WINNER: If the envelope associated with the winning weekly draw ticket reveals the Ace of Spades (including week 1), the weekly draw winner will also receive the Chase the Ace Progressive Jackpot, consisting of 30 percent of all ticket sales collected over all weeks. Total possible prize money $500,000. The Raffle is then concluded.
GAME PLAY OUT: If the game is not concluded by the end of the licensing period according to the dates of our SLGA license, the game will be played out on the last Tuesday before license expiration which will be Tuesday May 13th,,2025. RNG draws will be made and envelopes selected until there is a winner. There will be no sales between these draws and if the 20% prize weekly winner does not choose the ace, only the 30% progressive jackpot will be eligible to be won by subsequent draws.
NUMBER OF TICKETS: Maximum tickets sold is 2,000,000
POSTING WINNERS: The winning ticket number will be posted to Country at the Creek website and facebook after each weekly draw, along with the weekly prize amount and the revealed playing card associated with the weekly winning ticket. Winning information will be streamed live on Facebook.
ATTENDANCE AT DRAW: Ticket holders do not have to be present at the draws in order to win or to claim their prize. The winner will also be contacted by phone.
UNCLAIMED PRIZES: Will be secured for a period of 1 year following each weekly draw. Unclaimed prizes after this time period will be reported to, and a charitable allocation will be approved by, the SLGA. Depending on the value of the prize pot, the winner may be required to come to Diamond North Credit Union in Big River with ID to claim winnings in the form of a cheque.
CLAIMANTS: The winner must provide their full name, address and phone number and identification upon claiming their prize.
PRIVACY: By claiming a prize, winner consents to the use of their likeness/photograph, first and last name, ticket number, city/town of residence and the audio/video recording (or written transcription) of the winner notification telephone call, for any publicity purposes by the CCMF. The CCMF respects the privacy of its raffle supporters; we do not sell, rent, or trade our supporter lists. The information we collect is used to process raffle ticket purchases, keep our supporters informed about the activities of the sponsor, and ask for their support for our mission.
LEGAL
DETERMINATION OF OFFICIAL WINNER(S): The CCMF shall have the sole discretion to determine whether each Potential Winner is an official winner of a Prize (an “Official Winner”). The CCMF’s decision concerning the identity of all Official Winners shall be final and binding. A Potential Winner must be eligible to participate in the Raffle under these Official Rules and must not be in violation of these Official Rules as determined in the CCMF’s sole judgment;
AWARD OF PRIZE(S) TO OFFICIAL WINNER(S): A Prize will be awarded to each Potential Winner who has been designated by the CCMF as an Official Winner. All prizes will be sent to the Winner via Cheque within 30 calendar days of Winning. For security and safety reasons, no cash payments will be made to winners.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: The Released Parties (defined below under “RELEASE OF LIABILITY”) are not responsible for: (1) Entries which are stolen, lost, damaged, illegible, given away or no longer in the purchaser’s possession, (2) Entries that have been or may have been tampered with or re-sold in violation of these Official Rules; (3) Entries or payments that are delayed, misdirected, undelivered, not fully captured, or garbled as a result of any failure or problem whatsoever with the availability, functionality, operability or use of any network, server, ISP, website, computer, telephone, cable or satellite modem or connection, hand held mobile device or any other computer equipment or connection, whether or not caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by viruses, worms, or malfunctions affecting a network, server ISP or any equipment or programming used in or associated with the Raffle; (4) any other errors of any kind, whether human, typographical, printing, mechanical, or electronic in nature, which relate to or are connected with the Raffle (collectively, as described in clauses (1) through (4), “Errors”), including without limitation Errors in Raffle-related materials or in the administration of the Raffle, such as Errors in processing Entries, identifying Potential Winners, determining Official Winners, or announcing or delivering Prizes; or If any portion of the Raffle is compromised, in The CCMF’s sole judgment, by a virus, worm, bug, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in The CCMF’s sole judgment, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Raffle, or the proper submission or capture of Entries (collectively, a “Compromising Event”), then The CCMF reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend, modify or terminate the Raffle, and to select winners from all eligible, non-suspect Entries received before the known occurrence or discovery of such Comprising Event. All Entry purchases shall be final, and no refunds or replacements will be issued by The CCMF. The CCMF has sole and final decision on admissibility of entries and the determination of prize winner.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY: Entrants, by participating in the Raffle, agree that The CCMF and Tap 50:50, each of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, partners, and advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, shareholders, members, consultants and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability for injuries, losses, cost, expenses or damages of any kind, including damages for death, personal injury, property damage.
