PROCEEDS FROM TICKET SALES EACH WEEK ARE AS FOLLOWS:
20% WEEKLY PRIZE
30% JACKPOT
50% NON-PROFITS/EXPENSES
Jackpot guaranteed to be $10,000 minimum.
Every Sunday, one winning ticket will be drawn electronically at random from that week’s ticket sales. The holder of the winning ticket wins the weekly jackpot of 20% of that week’s lottery sales. Winner need not be present to win. Winners will be contacted by phone shortly after the drawing. The winner then has until the following Sunday at 6:00 pm to claim their prize. If the weekly prize is not claimed by the claim deadline, the ticket will be declared null and void and the winning ticket will lose any and all rights/claims to winnings. The unclaimed weekly prize will be added to the jackpot amount for the subsequent week.
Tickets purchased are valid for the current week drawing. Previous weekly ticket purchases are not valid for the drawings. Only tickets sold Sunday after the drawing through the following Sunday are eligible for that week’s drawing including the jackpot. Each participant is responsible for checking their tickets at the time of purchase to ensure that tickets have been properly printed and are legible. All sold tickets will be saved, dated, and stored for the period required by State of Alaska statutes and/or regulations.
The drawing will be held under the supervision of a manager or Alaska Lottery designee. Employees of the operator are not allowed to purchase tickets for any of the drawings. Members, staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers of permittee(s) are allowed to purchase tickets as well as their immediate family members.
If the holder of the week’s winning ticket comes forward and claims their prize by 9:00 pm on the Monday immediately following the drawing they will be allowed one chance at the Catch the King Jackpot.
The winner will be allowed to pick a number from 1 to 54 of the remaining windows on the Catch the King board. This opportunity is only available to the ticket holder until 9:00 pm the Monday following the drawing. If the winner fails to claim their prize by this deadline, the winner forfeits their chance at the Catch the King Jackpot.
If the numbered window chosen is the King of Diamonds, the ticket holder will win the jackpot. If the numbered window is not the King of Diamonds, then that spot will remain open and will be removed from play. The jackpot will progress to the next week, or until the King of Diamonds is selected.
Once the King of Diamonds is revealed the game is concluded. This may happen the first week or any week thereafter. Once this Catch the King is concluded ticket sales will immediately begin for a new game with the new jackpot guaranteed at $10,000.
Please note, if you are allowing people to purchase tickets on your behalf, all prize money including the jackpot will only be paid out to the ticket holder.
