GENERALITIES OF THE GAME
DRAW SELECTION: A single ticket number will be selected each week by a gaming lab certified Random Number Generator (RNG) from all raffle ticket numbers sold during the week leading up to the draw. The draw will be electronically conducted from the CKRM Radio Station located at 1900 Rose Street, Regina SK. S4P 0A9, at approximately 4:30pm and streamed live on Facebook. The Foundation will have a minimum of three people present at each draw following social practices. Purchasers do not need to be present to win and social distancing practices are encouraged.
WEEKLY WINNER: Each weekly draw winner will receive a single cash prize equal to 20 percent of all ticket sales collected during the week. The winner will be contacted by phone and asked to choose an envelope from the remaining envelopes that contain cards. The chosen envelope will be opened and revealed. If after 3 attempts over 15 minutes, the winner hasn’t been contacted, A DESIGNATED PROXY WILL CHOOSE AN ENVELOPE FOR THE WEEKLY WINNER. THE DESIGNATED PROXY WILL BE EITHER DEREK TAYLOR FROM CKRM SPORTSCAGE OR ANDREW CRAIG, DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY RELATIONS.
PROGRESSIVE JACKPOT WINNER: If the envelope associated with the winning weekly draw ticket reveals the Ace of Spades (including week 1), the weekly draw winner will also receive the Chase the Ace Progressive Jackpot, consisting of 30 percent of all ticket sales collected over all weeks. The Raffle is then concluded. It will be up to the Foundation if they wish to restart the raffle again and whether the raffle will be re-seeded subject to SLGA approval.
SECONDARY PRIZES: If the envelope associated with the winning weekly draw ticket reveals any playing card other than the Ace of Spades, Cody Fajardo – the game continues. All tickets from the previous week are then voided and ticket sales commence for the next weekly draw.
In addition to the 20% prize the weekly winner receives, he/she can win extra prizes if they choose the following cards:
- Ace of Hearts Charleston Hughes - 2 Community Box Seats with Side Line passes
- Ace of Clubs John Chick - 2 Community Box Seats with Side Line Passes
- Ace of Diamonds Rob Bagg - 2 Community Box Seats with Side Line Passes
- Ace of Spades Cody Fajardo – 2 Community Box Seats with Side Line Passes
GAME PLAY OUT: If the game is not concluded by the end of the licensing period according to the dates of our SLGA license, the game will be played out on the last Friday before license expiration which will be June 4th/2021. RNG draws will be made and envelopes selected until there is a winner. There will be no sales between these draws and if the 20% prize weekly winner does not choose the ace, only the 30% progressive jackpot will be eligible to be won by subsequent draws.
NUMBER OF TICKETS: There will be 20,000 $10 tickets available, 70,000 sets of 10 tickets for $20 and 8,000 sets of 50 for $50.00 tickets totalling $2,000,000 tickets for sale for a total prize value of $1,005,732. Winning information will be announced on Harvard Radio Sports Cage program and streamed live on Facebook.
CARD/ENVELOPE SECURITY: 52 cards will originally be counted and the Ace of Spades confirmed to be in the deck. The cards will be shuffled and face down placed into non-transparent envelopes and sealed. The appointed coordinator from the organization, will then shuffle the envelopes and another person designated by the Foundation will number the sealed envelopes from 1 to 52. The general manager of Harvard Broadcasting Jason Huschi has signed all 52 envelopes along the seal for extra security.
