OFFICIAL RULES: By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the WATROUS MANITOU BEACH HERITAGE CENTRE INC., which shall be binding and final as to all matters related to the RAFFLE. The RAFFLE is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws.
NET PROCEEDS: All net proceeds of the Raffle will benefit WATROUS MANITOU BEACH HERITAGE CENTRE INC. hereafter known as “HERITAGE CENTRE’’
PRICE: The following prices and corresponding “ticket numbers” are available for purchase: 1 ticket for $10.00, 20 tickets for $25.00, and 100 tickets for $50.00.
TICKET AVAILABILITY: Ticket sales will be made available on the Heritage Centre website ( www.watrousheritage.ca ) every week starting Sat July 17, 2021 with the first draw being Friday July 23, 2021 for a maximum of 51 weeks. Cut-off for ticket purchases will be at 7:30 pm every Friday the raffle is active with the draw being at or about 8:00 pm. Sales will resume approximately 30 minutes after each draw for the following week.
ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER: During the dates and times and other details specified below, tickets are available for purchase within Saskatchewan OVER THE INTERNET or by phone at 306-946-1177 Saturdays between 1-4pm. Purchasers must be 19 year or older.
The following persons are prohibited from purchasing tickets in the Raffle:
DRAW SELECTION: A single ticket number will be selected each week by a gaming lab certified Random Number Generator (RNG) from all raffle ticket numbers sold during the week leading up to the draw. The draw will be electronically conducted from TB’s Bar and Grill 102 Main Street, Watrous SK, at approximately 8:00PM and streamed live on Facebook. HERITAGE CENTRE will have a minimum of two people present at each draw following social distancing practices. Purchasers do not need to be present to win and social distancing practices are encouraged
WEEKLY WINNER: Each weekly draw winner will receive a single cash prize equal to 20 percent of all ticket sales collected during the week. The winner will be contacted by phone and asked to choose an envelope from the remaining envelopes that contain cards. The chosen envelope will be opened and revealed. If after 2 attempts (approximately 5 minutes), the winner hasn’t been contacted, A DESIGNATED PROXY WILL CHOOSE AN ENVELOPE FOR THE WEEKLY WINNER. THE DESIGNATED PROXY WILL BE ONE OF: Dave Somers and Ron Morningstar
PROGRESSIVE JACKPOT WINNER: If the envelope associated with the winning weekly draw ticket reveals the Ace of Spades (including week 1), the weekly draw winner will also receive the Chase the Ace Progressive Jackpot, consisting of 30 percent of all ticket sales collected over all weeks. The Raffle is then concluded. It will be up to the HERITAGE CENTRE if they wish to restart the raffle again.
GAME PLAY OUT: If the game is not concluded by the end of the licensing period according to the dates of our SLGA license, the game will be played out on the last Friday before license expiration which will be July 1, 2022. RNG draws will be made and envelopes selected until there is a winner. There will be no sales between these draws and if the 20% prize weekly winner does not choose the ace, only the 30% progressive jackpot will be eligible to be won by subsequent draws.
NUMBER OF TICKETS: There will be 20,000 $10 tickets available, 50,000 sets of 20 tickets for $25 and 25,000 sets of 100 for $50.00 tickets totalling 3,520,000 tickets for sale for a total prize value of $1,355,000. The original Progressive Jackpot will be seeded at $1,000 and subsequent games will also be seeded at $1,000 to a maximum of 5 games.
POSTING WINNERS: The winning ticket number will be posted to www. watrousheritage.ca following each weekly draw, along with the weekly prize amount and the revealed playing card associated with the weekly winning ticket.
CARD/ENVELOPE SECURITY: A standard deck of 52 playing cards will originally be counted, and the Ace of Spaces confirmed to be in the deck. The cards will be shuffled and placed face down into non-transparent envelopes and sealed. The appointed chairperson from the organization will then shuffle the envelopes and another person designated by the Heritage Center Chase the Ace Committee will number the sealed envelopes from 1 to 52. Each envelope will be signed along the seal of the envelope by the chairperson. After each week's envelope selection, the remaining cards will be locked up and secured until the following week's draw.
ATTENDANCE AT DRAW: Ticket holders do not have to be present at the draws in order to win or to claim their prize. The winner will also be contacted by phone. Social distancing is encouraged.
UNCLAIMED PRIZES: Will be secured for a period of 1 year following each weekly draw. Unclaimed prizes after this time period will be reported to, and a charitable allocation will be approved by, the SLGA.
CLAIMANTS: The winner must provide their full name, address and phone number and identification upon claiming their prize.
PRIVACY: By claiming a prize, winner consents to the use of their likeness/photograph, first and last name, ticket number, city/town of residence and the audio/video recording (or written transcription) of the winner notification telephone call, for any publicity purposes by the HERITAGE CENTRE. The HERITAGE CENTRE respects the privacy of its raffle supporters; we do not sell, rent, or trade our supporter lists. The information we collect is used to process raffle ticket purchases.
DETERMINATION OF OFFICIAL WINNER(S): The HERITAGE CENTRE shall have the sole discretion to determine whether each Potential Winner is an official winner of a Prize (an “Official Winner”). The HERITAGE CENTRE decision concerning the identity of all Official Winners shall be final and binding. A Potential Winner must be eligible to participate in the Raffle under these Official Rules and must not be in violation of these Official Rules as determined by the HERITAGE CENTRE and their sole judgement.
AWARD OF PRIZE(S) TO OFFICIAL WINNER(S): A Prize will be awarded to each Potential Winner who has been designated by the HERITAGE CENTRE as an Official Winner. All prizes will be sent to the Winner via Cheque within 30 calendar days of Winning. For security and safety reasons, no cash payments will be made to winners.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: The Released Parties (defined below under “RELEASE OF LIABILITY”) are not responsible for: (1) Entries which are stolen, lost, damaged, illegible, given away or no longer in the purchaser’s possession, (2) Entries that have been or may have been tampered with or re-sold in violation of these Official Rules; (3) Entries or payments that are delayed, misdirected, undelivered, not fully captured, or garbled as a result of any failure or problem whatsoever with the availability, functionality, operability or use of any network, server, ISP, website, computer, telephone, cable or satellite modem or connection, hand held mobile device or any other computer equipment or connection, whether or not caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by viruses, worms, or malfunctions affecting a network, server ISP or any equipment or programming used in or associated with the Raffle; (4) any other errors of any kind, whether human, typographical, printing, mechanical, or electronic in nature, which relate to or are connected with the Raffle (collectively, as described in clauses (1) through (4), “Errors”), including without limitation Errors in Raffle-related materials or in the administration of the Raffle, such as Errors in processing Entries, identifying Potential Winners, determining Official Winners, or announcing or delivering Prizes; or If any portion of the Raffle is compromised, in The HERITAGE CENTRE’s sole judgement, by a virus, worm, bug, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in The HERITAGE CENTRE sole judgement, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Raffle, or the proper submission or capture of Entries (collectively, a “Compromising Event”), then The HERITAGE CENTRE reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend, modify or terminate the Raffle, and to select winners from all eligible, non-suspect Entries received before the known occurrence or discovery of such Comprising Event. All Entry purchases shall be final, and no refunds or replacements will be issued by The HERITAGE CENTRE. The HERITAGE CENTRE has sole and final decision on admissibility of entries and the determination of prize winner.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY: Entrants, by participating in the Raffle, agree that The HERITAGE CENTRE and Tap 50:50, each of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, partners, and advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, shareholders, members, consultants and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability for injuries, losses, cost, expenses or damages of any kind, including damages for death, personal injury, property damage.
